Let’s say I have two WP installs, Site A and Site B, with two different sets of content. I’d like the date archive on Site A to include posts from both Site A and Site B. In other words, I’d like the date archive for August 22, 2011 on Site A (www.domain.com/2011/08/22) to include *both* all the Site A posts from that day and all the Site B posts.
As I understand it, I could access Site B’s database from Site A by creating a new $wpdb object. But here’s my question: Is there any way to present those combined posts from Site A and Site B in chronological order?
In other words, make it so the combined date archive page might have a Site A post from 6 p.m., then another Site A post from 5 p.m., then a Site B post from 4 p.m., then back to a Site A post from 4 p.m. — to order them by publication time, combining posts culled from both sites?
