Can you change product IDs in Woocommerce?

    Can you change the product IDs in Woocommerce? This is important because we would be moving a site to Woocommerce that has been using a Google shopping product feed for years on a different platform. Google says not to change the product id or it wipes out the history and you start from scratch. This of course is bad and causes many complications.

    So has anyone ever successfully changed them or is it even possible?

    Product IDs are shared with post IDs, page IDs, and all other custom post types, so if you did do this via query, you’d need to ensure nothing exists under said ID already before changing it.

    None of the changes would be done through WP itself. All direct database changes.

    I have exported all of my products and variations from woocommerce as a CSV using All Export. I now have an excel file that I am using to edit. I have added variations to the sheet and would like to add and update product ID’s and then import the products back into woocommerce.

    If I choose product ID numbers in a different range then the originals will I have any issues? Current products range from 68738 to 69050.
