Support » Plugin: Advanced Post Manager » Can you add “today” as a date option for sorting by dates?

I’m using the APM to filter backend results for Modern Tribe’s Events Calendar plugin. I would love the option to set to sort events by “Start Date” is/on and after/on and before TODAY, instead of a manual setting of a date.

This would create a far more useful filter, as it would automatically adapt to show currently relevant events. For example, a filter could be created that showed “Venue: X, Start Date: on and after: today” that would show all upcoming events starting today and into the future.

Additionally, it would be great if filtered views could have saved “sort by” column fields. For example, in the above example, the filter could also save “sort by start date, ascending” to show the events starting today first, then those in the future.

These are excellent ideas, @paintandpour — I will log a feature ticket in our internal development system, but in the meantime I would encourage you to post these ideas to our UserVoice page here →

We have tons of features in our system; UserVoice allows other folks to vote ideas up and down, and so it helps us prioritize things to implement. We pay close attention to it and to the votes ideas get, so definitely post these ideas there, too! 😀
