• We have an eCommerce based site located at http://www.ascycles.com. It’s a .NET site based on a platform from La Garde called Storefront. For the immediate future, that’s the way it’s going to remain for better or worse.

What I’m looking for is a way to get a CMS type functionality for the site.

Does it make sense to run WP in such a way that the “output” from the WP system is held/displayed on our site in the .aspx pages as SSI (server side includes)?

So, for example on our http://www.ascycles.com/default.aspx, the left nav area, the header, and the footer are from Storefront, but the main body of the page is an include with a source of a WP page.

I want to do this so I can get away from having to always edit the source of the default.aspx. plus be able to open up content creation and editing to less technical people I would never trust to edit our home page.

Does any of this make any sense? Is it possible? Should I be looking in another direction?
