Support » Theme: Leaf » Can we increase the font/font-size on the slider?

  • Resolved royaugustine

    I was searching for a WordPress theme for my first blog and shortlisted few including the ‘leaf’ theme. In the leaf theme, I liked everything except the fonts and font-size in the slider. Is there a way we can increase the font size in the slider? The reason is, when viewing the site in mobiles and tablets, unable to read the text displayed on the slider. Even on the desktop the excerpts text on the slider is too small.

    However, when viewed in IE, the fonts are at least readable.
    My site is not complete yet. So I can’t post the link here.

  • In custom CSS area add

    .iview-caption {font-family: …;font-size: …px;}

    You have to choose a character that renders well in Chrome and Safari too, Firefox should not be a problem, like Tahoma e.g.
    And you should add the equivalent size in rem.
    Anyway it’s difficult to display it well and clear in mobiles without the user zooming in, and aesthetically wouldn’t be nice. The background is too little.

    Thanks for the reply tizz.

    I don’t know coding. From your reply, What I understand is I have to add the below code to the custom CSS box if I want to use ‘Tahoma’ font with 16px.

    .iview-caption {font-family: Tahoma;font-size: 16px;}

    is that enough?

    .iview-caption {font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;font-size: 16px;font-size: 1.6rem;}

    For font family browsers support, you can find a lot googling.

    This was able to solve my testing.

    Thanks. That fixed the font size for the description. But the title on the slider is still not changed. How do we increase the font size for the title as well?

    @ the same rule add #iview h2

    .iview-caption, #iview h2 {…}

    If you want the same, otherwise separate the rule with something different between {}

    Thanks Tizz.

    That worked.
