hi symmetrium – forgive the delay in getting back to you. I really wish WordPress forums sent an email when people posted requests…
To answer your question:
As an administrator you can use a shortcode to display your users on any page you wish. You can also choose to build a directory of just users who meet specific criteria. For example, on one page you can have a directory of members – on another page you can have a directory of volunteers.
Any directory you build can have a search form added to it and you can drag-drop the fields you want to allow users to search on. You can also choose to show the search results on a Google map. Finally, you can also build private directories that only users who meet a specific criteria can access.
Lastly, when someone clicks on a user, the panel system will show that user’s profile and applicable history (for example; the posts they’ve created).
Hope this helps!
havahula, thank you very much for your reply, this sounds really great!
I will be trying Paupress ASAP… : )
glad to hear, symmetrium!
I just re-read my response to you and neglected to say that this is a Pro feature! I hope this catches you before you spend too much time looking for it in the basic version. If I didn’t catch you early enough, please accept my apologies for forgetting to mention that.
So, to clarify – yes, this can all be done in the Pro version.
