I’m interested in using your plugin, but would like to allow any user to receive a code and then be able to add their own pin. Is that possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
You mean each user who submits a post should be reflected by a different pin on the map?

Yes. I’m creating the ability for people to make online memorials for their loved ones and mark a pin on a map where they’ve scattered the ashes of their loved ones. So I’d like the user, who does have a regular user account on the WP site, but is not a WP editor or site administrator, to be able to place a pin on the map and then add information about their loved one. I know we’ll need to take care of the user account side of things, and what information they can modify on the pin, but the core requirement I’m curious about is who can make those edits?

    Thanks for your prompt response!

    Hi,
Basically all edits to post can be done by authors of a post. Having said this, I could either think about using the Authors gravatar or add an additional attribute to any post. So if the user has a gravatar or that that was filled, the respective pin is used.
Let me know what you think about it.
