My web host just turned off my ability to use SMTP through port 587 which my email server requires for sending encrypted email. I may be to send email from the server through an API instead, but I don’t see a way to turn encryption on through this plugin. Is that possible?

Hi.

By default, the sending of emails via the SendGrid API from the plugin is done over HTTPS, and therefore using TLS. The API server accepts TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2.

You can also send emails using TLS over SMTP port 25, see here : https://sendgrid.com/docs/Classroom/Basics/Email_Infrastructure/recommended_smtp_settings.html
