Support » Plugin: Simple Author Box » Can this be put in a side bar?

  • Hi all;

    I’m so in love with the look of this author box that no other will do for my site (I’m using twenty-fourteen). I thought it would look stellar either above my name in the header or first thing in the left-hand side bar. -However- I haven’t coded in at least a decade and it’s become almost gibberish to me. I understand that if it can be put at the end of every post it should be able to be placed once in a side bar, but I’m not sure what piece of code should be put where. Could someone lend me a hand?

    Many thanks!
    Tracy

  • Just a quick update: I’ve got the code showing in the sidebar, now I just have to figure out how to make it the actual author box. Any suggestions? This is where I have it in sidebar.php:

    <?php if ( has_nav_menu( 'secondary' ) ) : ?>
    	<nav role="navigation" class="navigation site-navigation secondary-navigation">
    		<?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'secondary' ) ); ?>
    	</nav>
    if ( function_exists( 'sabox_author_box' ) ) echo sabox_author_box();
    	<?php endif; ?>

    	<?php if ( is_active_sidebar( 'sidebar-1' ) ) : ?>
