Can this be done using wordpress ?

    I am a wordpress beginner and was wondering that if i can pull data from another website and do stuff upon it. I dont intend to steal. Its just that we are very much dependent on our university website and its pathetic. I want to pull all the data from it including regular updates and news and display it in more organized form. Can this be done in wordpress ?? Or do you know any other solution which doesnt involve much coding by myself..

    If the University’s data is stored in a WordPress database, and you are on the same server as the University’s database, you can tap into the database itself and pull the data. You need permission and an account to do so.

    If you are looking to build your own site and pull content from the University’s site, plan on doing a lot of programming… There is no other way.
