Support » Plugin: WordPress Media Library Folders » Can the upload go to a specfic folder?

  • I have images I upload and would like to be able to place them in 1 folder.

I have images uploaded by visitors and I would like them to go into a different folder automatically

    How can I do that?
    Regards

  • Hi Drachsi,

As far as I know, there is no mechanism present within MLF to do so.
It is only intended to maintain images in separate folders, which is not possible in WordPress.
You could however look for a cron task to do that for you.
But that would require you to synchronizing MLF after that has happened, which is a manual process.
Can you setup your upload folder in your website where your visitors upload them?
Because then you can create a visitor folder, with MLF and point your site to that folder. Again it would require a manual sync with MLF to put them into the MLF library.

Thank you Peter. Yes, there is not automatic organizing of files. One has to do it manuaaly.
