    Thank you for creating this plugin! When setting up the Abandon Cart Lite Plugin under the “settings” you have a checkbox that if Checked “sends email to Admin if an Abandoned Cart Order is recovered”. I have checked that and the 1st Admin listed under Users does receive a copy of the Abandoned Cart Email that goes out to the customer when they abandon their order. However, that Admin does not handle the website’s orders – we have a “Shop Manager” set up to handle those… Is it possible to get that email to go to our Shop Manager instead of our Admin? If so, please provide the appropriate steps for us to make that happen?

    I apologize for the late reply on this.

    Currently, we do not have the option to allow sending the recovered order email to the shop manager instead of the site admin. But we can include one filter for this in our next plugin update and using that filter, you can achieve your requirement.

    No, this option is not present currently in our premium Abandoned Cart plugin also.

    I will ask the development team about the time-frame for the next update in which we will include the filter for your requirement.

    Thank you. Please let me know when the ability to have the Shop Manager receive the recovered order email copy instead of the Admin – this email going to Admin right now is not an efficient use of our Shop Manager’s time and really slows down their ability to follow up with the client.

    In the recent update 5.8.6 of our Abandoned Cart Lite plugin, we have added the hook to allow sending the order recovery email to people other than the Store owner. Below is the custom code we have created to achieve your requirement. You can change the email address as per your requirement.

    Custom code:

    add_filter( 'wcal_send_recovery_email_to', 'change_recovery_email_recipient', 10, 1 );
    
    function change_recovery_email_recipient( $email_recipient ) {
    $email_recipient = 'shop_manager@shop.com,assistant_manager@shop.com';
    return $email_recipient;
    }
    

    Kindly add this custom code to the “functions.php” file of your currently active theme. Please check and let us know how it works.

    Thank you for the updated plugin and code. I have updated to v. 5.8.6 and added the code provided to the appropriate file. I have changed the “shop_manager@shop.com” to the appropriate email (and removed the other example email). I have tested by abandoning my cart. There was no copy of the abandoned email sent to either the Admin, nor the Shop Manager. Please advise.

    The custom code snippet we have provided above is for sending the abandoned order recovery email to the shop manager or any other people apart from the site admin. This custom code was not for sending the abandoned cart reminder email. This code will send the email to the mentioned email when the customer has recovered the abandoned order. So kindly recover the abandoned purchase done by you and see if the order recovery email is being sent to the mentioned email or not?

    Thank you for that clarification. I requested for the Shop Manager to get the copy of the Abandoned Email that the plugin sends to the Admin when the cart is abandoned, instead of the Admin getting that. Without the code, the Admin got an email when the cart was abandoned (and not when the order was recovered). With the code, neither the Admin nor the Shop Manager got the email in either situation. I am asking for our Shop Manager to get that email because the Shop Manager is the one that handles all sales-related items and our Admin does not do any of that. Please advise.

    Are you saying that your site admin is receiving the abandoned cart reminder emails when the customer abandons the cart on your site? If yes, then this is strange. Our Lite version of this plugin does only sends the cart reminder email to customers who abandon the cart. And when the customer recovers the abandoned cart, that time the order recovery email goes to the site admin.

    Please let me know if I understood your reply correctly or no?

    This is 1 of 3 issues I had with this plugin. The other 2 were solved. This issue has been active for over a month. Due to the provided code (above) not working and the slow response by this plugin author (here and via their support email) I have decided to go with WooCommerce Cart Abandonment Recovery by CartFlows Inc. This ticket is not resolved, but I am no longer pursuing it.

    I understand that there is a delay from my end and I sincerely apologize for that.

    We have given you the patch of the Order Recovery email to be able to send that to the shop manager because that is the only email sent to the admin from our plugin. You also mentioned that option name in your first reply on this thread.

    However, you have stated that the admin receives Abandoned Cart email for the lite version so I did try replicating the issue on your site and you have already confirmed that you have not received the reminder email. However, if you would like us to still check this issue on your site then we can put the breakpoints on your site. Our development team will check the entire cart flow right from abandoning the cart to recovering and the email flow. If you are interested then please send us the access details on the email chat where we are communicating related to this.
