[Resolved] Can the algorithm work with a custom field instead of the_content()?

  • I’ve started working with a site that uses a custom field called ‘desarrollo’ instead of the_content(); to load the main content of the articles, and has already about 400 articles written. Also, the articles are a custom post type. That’s why I need to find a way that the plugin’s algorithm takes care of that content.

    Please, please, please, help!!!

    Do I understand correctly that the custom field actually contains the contents of the post?
    And, that the Post->Content field which is the default one is totally empty?

    if this is the case, unfortunately, there is no easy fix. The plugin creates a fulltext index on the post_title and post_content fields.

    Is there a way you can “synchronise” the data between desarrollo and post_content?

    Your’re right. The field the_content(); is empty…
    If there is any way to synchronise the data between desarrollo and the_content(); I don’t know about it unfortunately, that would make my life a lot easier. Anyway, thanks for your answer!

    You’re welcome.

    But, even without the content, the title field should ideally be giving you good matches.
