Can readers publish their own posts? (4 posts)

    This is a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway. I got WP working at "www.nightmare-manor.com/blog" but I want people who come to the site be able to add new posts, not just comment on existing ones. I've set the Settings to allow anyone to register, and set the default new user to Author. Do I need to add a link somewhere, like "Add Post"? As it is, when I click on the "comments" link it goes to the site's home page, so I can't enter comments either. I must be missing something obvious here.

    That's an insane idea. Do NOT give such high persmissions/capabilities to strangers... unless you want your blog hacked in no time.

    Contributor should be the maximum, but even that is too much: you should not let strangers in your admin panel. Period.

    but this plugin not compatible with 2.6 yet.
