I can confirm it is doing it on a site or two of mine – but yes, that method to get back in is stated in the FAQ. I’ll see if I can track down the issue in the morning before lunch and release 2.0.1

I’ve released 2.0.1 – I’ve confirmed the bugfix on 2 installs and there have not been any brute force lockouts on either since 2.0.0

Please update this if you find 2.0.1 to not correct the login issue.

    After 2.0.1 update…

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare slp_plugin_menu() (previously declared in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stealth-login-page/plugin.php:53) in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stealth-login-page/includes/settings-page.php on line 7

I get the same thing as Guard Force One.

Love the plugin… After the fix..

Can you please post the code to update lines 7 and 53 in our C-Panel

    Thanks!

    Hi,

This issue has not resolved for me.

I have tried to delete the plugin using ftp but I cannot… so now I am left locked out with no way of accessing my site.

My site is telling me that I do not have permission to delete any of the plugins in my plugins folder.

I know that this might be an issue to take up with my hosting company, and I know the plug in is free…. but it looks like I will have to delete my wp and reinstall everything.

I will follow up with my hosting provider, but a really dissapointed….

Do it through CPanel (file Manager)

    Home/Public_Html/wp-content/plugins.

    Select Stealth-login-page – Select all – Delete.

Should let you back in.. 2.0.1 Update has been fixed. Re install Plugin.

    Hi Guard Force,

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately my host does not use cpanel, they use plesk or paralles or something like that.

    Any suggestions…

    Thanks,

That is an issue with your host – sounds like you’re on a VPS and their permissions are junk. Just do it from Plesk…

This plugin assumes a certain level of WP and server know-how to reason that this plugin is useful in the first place. If these things are difficult, this plugin really isn’t meant for you.

I will be doubly sure the SVN matches what I have on my local box and my test sites before leaving for an evening of family time from now on to ensure it behaves on download how it does in my testing, but when it comes to understanding one’s hosting, that is the sort of thing we developers offer our services for in return for moolah.
