The plugin is perfect for my needs with the exception that we don’t want our customers to be bothered with creating a user name and password manually. I’d prefer if the membership form fields, started with name, email, phone, address, then billing info… Any way to accomplish this?

Ideally, I would want the user name and password fields to be hidden by default.

    Thanks,
    Bob

  • Hi rwilki,

This is definitely possible. We’ve done it for clients in the past, but don’t have a good Gist to share just yet. We’ll look for one in the mean time.

    Thanks

thanks. I actually found a solution to allow the email to be user name, so that simplifies it a little bit. 🙂

    Marking this as resolved.

rwilki: What was the solution that you found? 🙂 I’ve been trying to figure out how to get PMPro to remove the username on checkout and just have to have the email address entered and haven’t come across anything readily available yet.

Hi Joel, I should have been more specific. My “solution” allows the email to be the user name (which is pretty well documented by PMPro) but it is not something generated dynamically.

https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/9903069 will give you code to make the function work. I use it in my register-helper. You will also need to create a custom checkout template or use CSS to hide the user name fields.

Let me know if you need more assistance.
