Can people submit update their entries without logging in? If so, sorry to have not seen that. What would be the process?

Sorry, no, a user must login to edit. The person has to be validated somehow and using a secure proven method of logging is the only way to go without potentially added an insecure method.

If you decide to use Connections and wan the user to be able to maintain their own entry you’ll need the Link addon.

A follow-up. Can people submit changes to a profile that would go into a moderation queue for an editor?
