Can pages generated on the fly be cached?

  • Our website generates some pages dynamically by loading a template based on the URL of the request. We do this because we are pulling data from an external API that is updated frequently and don’t want to manage this data from the WordPress database/admin.

It appears these pages are not being cached by the plugin – I don’t see the normal printout in the footer and we’ve confirmed with our Ops team that these page requests are putting extra load on our server. I suspect the plugin only caches pages that exist in the database? Is there anyway to force the plugin to read these pages and cache them?
