UM auto-created Registration page is at mysite.com/register-3/
When visiting that page, it redirects to mysite.com/login/?redirect_to=mysite.com/register-3/ and displays the LOGIN form, not the REGISTER form.
I double-checked the Registration page’s content and it’s [ultimatemember form_id=132], which is the Registration form.
When I go to edit that form, the Type is Register and it has fields like username, first name, etc (the default setup; I haven’t edited anything).
However, mysite.com/register-3/ defaults to LOGIN form with just username, password, and “Login” in blue and “Register” in gray. Clicking Register button links to mysite.com/register-3/ (essentially a redirect loop).

After I clicked the Password Reset link and even it redirected to the login form, I had the idea to change the Global Site Access setting from Logged In Users to Everyone. After I changed that back, the Registration and PW Reset form links worked.

However, the Registration form displayed a red notice stating “Registration is currently disabled”, which came from /wp-admin/options-general.php -> Membership -> needed to check that Anyone Can Register.
I’d suggest your plugin settings (wp-admin) look for that setting and notify if unchecked. Yoast SEO plugin does this for the checkbox at /wp-admin/options-reading.php -> Search Engine Visibility -> Discourage search engines from indexing this site

FYI: I tried setting Global Site Access back to Logged In Only (after allowing Anyone Can Register) and the issue remained.

    Hi,

Why is the page register-3? The page UM creates should be just register. Have you installed other plugins that install a register page?

    Thanks

The page should be able to be whatever slug I set it as, such as /anything-i-want-register-here — as long as I add the shortcode there, which I have.

But, for your request, I used /register instead of /register-3 and yes it did the same thing when I set Global Site Access back to Logged In Users.

Yes you can make the slug what you like but was just suggesting that /register would look cleaner than /register-3. Just wanted to check if you had another plugin e.g buddypress installed which had already taken the register page.

I think the redirect is happening as when restrict access to gloabally is turned on it locks down all the pages. Can you go to the register page and edit the page. When editing can you go to the access control widget and make it so logged out users can see the register page.

    Thanks

That did the trick. Definitely should be some sort of check for this IMO. Thanks.
