Can Only Edit Translation Line by Line?

When we click the “EDIT TRANSLATION” link, we are given the option to edit the text. However, the text seems to be broken down sentence by sentence (sometimes even multiple breaks in one sentence) which makes translating large blocks of copy very time consuming.

Is there a way around this?
