Hello, I am desperate to change my header.
I try to upload image, but I keep getting an error?
“An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”
This happens no matter what theme I am using.
I am currently using Contango theme.

    – check your uploads path in Dashboard > Settings > Media, make sure it’s not pointing to a different path . . . normally this would be blank.
    – confirm that the wp-content/uploads directory and those files exist. – Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.
Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again (very important for security reasons!) and check that everything still works OK
    – If the above steps do not help, try deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin.
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

The Dashboard-Settings-Media is just stuck on loading. Nothing comes up. 🙁

    I have a wp-content/uploads
In it is the 2013,2014,2015 folders and backupwordpress folders and a siteorigin-widgets folder.
That’s it. And I don’t understand what you mean about changing permissions to 766 etc because the only permissions I can put is: Read, Write, Execute (directory)

When I try to go to the theme section and for example find a new theme, I get an error as well:
“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

all your themes (2013,2014,2015) are supposed to be in a folder called /themes/ like this: /wp-content/themes/

what si “siteorigin-widgets”? why you have them in the uploads folder?

did you design the site or somebody else?

what you mean about changing permissions

have a read of this codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

This error is likely due to an issue with yours’/ hosts’ server. If your site is on a remote server, try contacting your hosting provider about this.

I haven’t had anyone else do anything to my site no.

Should I move the themes folders into the themes foler?

    (@erfmama)

Ok, I’ve moved the foldrs into the Themes folder. But my Media Library will not load when I click on the “Add Media” button in a new post, and also I am getting the same error when trying to add photos to a post.
