Can not rewrite Title Tag and metadescription for shop page

    Hi,

    I am currently using WooCommerce for my website.
    For better SEO, I am using SEO plugin to rewrite title tag and meta description. It worked for most woocommerce assigned page such as cart page, but I am facing problem only for the shop page.
    Title Tag can not be rewritten.

    Anyone can help please.

    Yoast’s seo plugin title rewriting works fine for me
    the thing is, the shop page isn’t a real page, it’s an archive page for the “product” post type.

    set your title format for the product post type, and you should be set.

    Yes you are correct, it is a custom post type archive.

    But I dont understand how to set the title format for the product post type?

    Yoast SEO supports this. not sure what plugin you’re using.

    it’s under titles & metas and down at the bottom, you’ll see “custom post type archives” and in there you’ll see products.
