Need to completely unistall due to PHP version

Hi,
I was using wp-statistics for years and everything was OK. I was also getting automatic e-mails every day. Two days ago, I tried to upgrade to the latest version but upgrade failed due to PHP version. I contacted my hosting provider but it seems that I need to upgrade to a different plan/servers to upgrade PHP version which is a huge upgrade effort. As a result, unfortunately I had to uninstall the wp-statistics plug-in. But it seems that I keep getting the daily e-mails. How can this happen ? How can I completely remove this plug-in ?
