I have tried tirelessly to figure out how to get themes into my site. I haved watched the suggested video and read all of the forums on this topic and I still can't do it! I am not a horrible computer user either! Please help!

From watching the video I think my issue is that nothing is in my public_html file...nothing...and I cant get anything to go into it either!

I am using FileZilla on a MAC.

    Help!!!!

It should work unless you've entered your web host details wrong in the ftp program. Once you installed wordpress on your public_html, you can upload your theme via the ftp program in the original themes folder. I can stress how frustrating it must be though, I was on the same stick as you but if you play around with the settings it'll work.

If there's nothing in your public_html folder then you don't have a website. Everything that makes up your site would be in there...

Well since there's nothing in her public_html folder (which is impossible) there wouldn't even be a WordPress folder let alone a themes folder (which is impossible).

Erm I'm confused, I dont know how that could be possible. Delete the directory off your web server and re-install wordprss through your ftp.

    1. Fill out web hosting details on ftp and connect

    2. Highlight files from your local directory(computer) and drag it to your web hosts /htdocs or /public_html.

    4. Set up a database.

    3. Complete the Configure file, Run Install.. keep your wordpress themes as default and check your web host directory if the wordpress file is actually installed in there, check all your folders!

Then open another webpage and type your website http://www.example.com.

That process is clear and concise, I've installed wordpress on my domains about 20-30 times no problems.

    Keep us updated :)
