• I am not really sure where to start but tried to empty my cache and received a message that I get periodically that a file is corrupted or can not be found, please remove the file and deactivate. Then reactive.

However this time it will not allow me to deactivate. After deleting advanced=cache.php, i tried to deactivate and I get 2 error messages:

Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in.. (file location/name.) The two files that it references are completely unrelated to w3 cache as they are related to a contact form plugin.

To further test functionality I tried to empty the cache and received a message that a the directory is not write-able or another caching plugin is installed.

Long story short, I emptied the cache of the other plugin, deactivated, and removed and checked the permissions which is set to 0755. I downloaded advanced-cache.php and restored it to the original location.

Now I can delete cache, but receive the following error messages

Page caching is not available: please add: define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); to */wp-config.php. This error message will automatically disappear once the change is successfully made.

Object caching is not available: */object-cache.php is not installed. Either the */wp-content directory is not write-able or another caching plugin is installed. This error message will automatically disappear once the change is successfully made.

Also I still can not deactive (same error messages). I would love to be able to deactivate and reinstall. Prior to this i have not modified any plugin files or changed any permissions, the only thing I have done was recently upgrade to the latest version of w3 cache.
