Can not change permalink (I have a new webpage)

It took me two hours to find my way to this post a message area. I am doing this because I could not figure out if my post went through with a question. So…after almost 4 hours I would like to say this…

I thought i could leave the permalinks alone and they would be used, as they are, with any editing. (There was a lot of talk about what they look like…I don’t care…they look fine to me.) But i saw a note stating that i must change the permalinks to get my webpage up and running.

I do not think I can change them and then include the change in the script. I will need someone to do it for me. I’m not stupid, I just can’t work with language and words. It would take a a week a least to read everything and then mu dyslexia would get in the way of edging the stuff. I wold never get the syntax correct.

Were would I look for help.
