I see that there was an update…. however installing the new 3.5 on a WP v4.4.2 with php v5.4.24 still creates the same error

“BackUpWordPress requires PHP version 5.3.2 or later and WordPress version 3.9 or later to run. It has not been activated.”

    All other plugins were deactivated.
    Any ideas?

I’m experiencing the same issue, although, I am running WordPress 4.4.2 and PHP 5.4.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I’m listing this in GitHub – but I think they might already be working on this in another ticket. I’ll update with more information when I have it.

If you have further information to add that might aide in troubleshooting, you can add more info directly to the ticket there as well: https://github.com/humanmade/backupwordpress/issues/1047

Again, I will update this as soon as I have more information, okay?

Okay – just an update – we’re trying to verify this as an actual issue – if one of you who have reported this might be willing to install this plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

It will tell you the actual PHP version installed on your server and let us know if there’s an error with how our plugin is pulling that in?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kat,

Thanks for continuing to look in on this issue. I noticed that you just released 3.6, however the same issues persist.

BackUpWordPress 3.6.0 upon attempted activation – error on screen is
“BackUpWordPress requires PHP version 5.3.2 or later and WordPress version 3.9 or later to run. It has not been activated.”

    Here is my information
    Apache 2.2.31
    php 5.4.24
    mySQL 5.5.42-37.1
    WP 4.4.2

I checked my “error_log” and there is nothing in there pertaining to the plugin name or directory.

Thanks for touching base again – still trying to determine what’s up with this one. Did you install the referenced plugin to see if the version WP is seeing is the same one you’re supposed to be running in? It was this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

It could be a weird glitch, but for it to affect even a few people is very curious. Any additional feedback would be great – would like to try and track this further if possible.

    Thanks guys,
    Kat
