could not access settings in the “mage cast” menu item where the 3 mage plugins are displayed or in the wordpress plugins menu.

it displays “you do not have sufficient privileges to access this page”

    – I set up a form on my site, filled it out on the front end, but it did not publish or populate on the back end.

    Hi giilour,
a fix for the wrong settings link has been uploaded about an hour after the new version was published. The version number remained the same – otherwise you should be able to access the settings (which currently displays only documentation) from Mage Forms -> Settings (no longer Mage Cast -> Forms).

In regards to the form not publishing – what happens after you submit? Do you get redirected / errors display?
If you could provide with the following info:
    – Form settings (Post Type selected, Publish action, etc.)
    – Theme used

Even a URL to the form page would be helpful in assisting you.
Hope that helps and look forward to your feedback.

I was referring to 1.0.4 above – but have already published 1.0.5 with some fixes. Do repost, should the problem still persist.

If you use [select name="post_category" label="Category"], selecting parent categories will open a second dropdown with its child categories. Whenever a category has child categories, another dropdown should appear. This works with all hierarchical taxonomies.

ok so I’m on 1.07 and the settings page comes up fine.

I created a form and using the form shortcode eg. [form id=”85″] and the form comes up ok on the page. when I put in information and upload a featured image everything works fine (featured image, title, description) click submit and the button turns to submitting then the screen just kind of refreshers with the same information on it. I check to see if there is a post that has been populated and nothing on the “all posts” menu.

I tested deactivating all plugins still no good, my form initially didn’t have cateogries, I changed that to the drop down but still no good.

Thanks for your assistance with this.
I tested on a few themes and was able to reproduce the error when copy-pasting the form elements into a newly created form.

The form would test if the submit button with the name “submit_[form_slug]” was submitted, which would require that the submit button shortcode was copied directly from the form elements on that specific form. Otherwise pressing the submit button would simply refresh the page.

I just uploaded 1.0.8 which now only uses [submit] to auto generate the name, which now checks for “submit_[form_id]” instead. Of the submit button and form still mismatch due to the name parameter being present with the wrong name then an error will be displayed instead of just a page-reload.

    To summarize:
    – previously the form required [submit name="submit_{form_slug}"], which one would copy from the form elements meta box below the form editor.
    – Now, in 1.0.8, only [submit] is necessary, which equals [submit name="submit_{form_id}"] (not the form slug anymore).

Hope that works and look forward to any feedback.

    Thanks again.
