It sounds like a incompatibility with another plugin. Did you install/update any other plugins within the last 4 weeks?
Is it possible for you to deactivate all other plugins and see if the problem persists?
It was indeed a plugin. “Easy Recipe Plus” However, it’s a rather important one for my site. So is your add-on. I’m not sure what to do to correct it. This is the plugin link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easyrecipe/
For now I guess I can disable the add-on and quickly make changes to my sidebars then enable it again.

Thank you for the feedback. I have been able to reproduce the issue and contacted the developer of Easy Recipe as the problem is caused by that plugin.

I just want to update you on this one.
The developer of EasyRecipe has told me that they are working on the problem, so hopefully there will be a fix out soon.
