Can it phyisally move the folder?

The plugin can create new folders and move images from one folder to another but the URL of the image stays the same.

Does this plugin create actual new folders and permanently move images from one folder to another or does it just use meta to make it look as though files are organised into different folders?

I have a website with more than 60,000 images in one folder and I need to break it up into lots smaller folders, so I need a plugin that actually creates new folders on the hard disk and physically moves files from one folder to another.
