[Resolved] Can I use WordPress on only PART of my website and design the rest in DW?

  • I am currently building a video website with Dreamweaver and I like the ability to customize that it provides, far more than WordPress obviously. But one feature that I need, the ability of viewers to leave feedback on each videos’ separate page (exactly like youtube) would require me to learn how to program MySQL and PHP.

Or….possibly I could just design those separate video pages, for example:

    http://www.mydomain.com/videos/video1.html
    http://www.mydomain.com/videos/video2.html , etc.

with WordPress so viewers can leave feedback (after signing in?) on just those pages.

If this is possible, how do I achieve it? Should I install WordPress in the videos directory?

What are the chances that WordPress will interfere with all the existing pages I have designed with Dreamweaver?

I would really appreciate any advice.

If you install WordPress in a sub folder like “videos” it will just manage the content viewable under that folder and the rest of the site can be managed/developed in a different way.
