Do you support more than one type of structured data?
Is it okay to put both json-ld and microdata in a post or page?

I recently added json-ld structured data, by manually crafting and typing it into the header of all my posts on http://soccermoviemom.com.

But, after I did this, I realized that bing does not support json-ld. So all that work didn’t help my SEO on bing*, since bing ignores json-ld. I am hoping your plugin will help me generate both microdata and json-ld, which I could then add to each post. That is, if it makes sense to do that.

    * Actually, I’m not convinced it helped my google SEO either. But at least it passes the google structured data testing tool.

    Hi MJ,

We primarily use JSON-LD and have limited support for Microdata. After you create the information in the Editor, you can export to Microdata to get a HTML structure template. That’s only half the battle though, because you need customize it for your layout and CSS. It saves some effort but the mix of data with UI takes time.

Try the process with the free version of the plugin for a blog posting to see how it would work for you. After you create the data, Export to Microdata to copy/paste that into your editor. The WP TInyMCE editor might strip out the itemprop, itemtype and itemscope attributes, so may need customization.

The JSON-LD code created with the editor automatically deploys JSON-LD in the header. If you have any feature requests after this, let us know.

    Regards,
    Mark
