I rather upload to Bunny.net first, which will avoid overloading my own site. Can I integrate links from Bunny.net without an upload to my own site first?

  • Hello krisseeuw,

Right now we don’t have this feature, but if you upload a video to the WordPress media library and you have the “Automatic delete local version” option enabled, it will keep only the version on Bunny.

Let me know if this would solve your issue. If not, could you explain why you would upload to Bunny and then connect it to WordPress? It seems less efficient.

    Thanks!

    Hi Aryan,

Thank you for your kind reply. That is not an option. It might work, as in the video about the hotel. That seemed to be a single (rather small) file. I have tons of files and many gigabytes to upload. It does not work via shared hosting.

Furthermore, I did install the plug-in and had “Automatic delete local version” active. This setting completely broke my site by deleting all image files. I had to restore my site from a backup yesterday. I deduct that today, there is no option available.

    Hey there,

The plugin only targets videos, so I don’t understand how it deleted the images on the site. Could you give us access to the site or a staging site so we can check?

Also, for your use case, did you try using the official Bunny plugin?

The official Bunny plugin actually allows you to do what you mentioned.

    Thanks!
