Can I tweak the homepage display of latest posts?

    Hello pals,
    Almost all themes display latest posts on the homepage, right?

    But I saw some websites on which the homepage displays the latest posts in two rows. Each row lists the latest posts belonging to different “sections”(It could be posts from a custom post type or from a subsite of WP MU, I couldn’t know).

    Is there a theme that provides such flexibility on the display of latest posts OR is it a result of cutomization?

    I don’t know if there’s a theme that does that, but if I had to design a site with two rows containing the last three posts from two different categories, I would first pick a theme that uses a grid for responsiveness, then set the front page to be a static page instead of a blog page, then use a plugin to first retrieve the last three posts from one category, then the same plugin to retrieve the last three posts from the other category, then use CSS to style everything.

    For example: There is this site:- zehabesha(dot)com
    At the bottom it says, grabfire wordpress themes.
    Looks like a multisite. Do you think they applied the workaround you suggested?
