Can I turn off the url rewriting that happens in the visual editor?

  • Hi All,
I’m new to WP, but loving it and am currently using the pages feature with a stripped down template to feed pages into a static site using php includes. When using the visual editor, all hyperlinks that I type in (even when in html mode) get rewritten, so where I’d prefer a link like:
    <A href="2005_08_28.mp3"><br />
    it ends up like:

I still want the visual editor to be available for the folks who I’ve really integrated wordpress for… but need to turn that url rewriting feature off. Any tips/hacks?

    Many Thanks,
    Jeremy Kidwell
