Can I truncate wp_redirection_logs?

  • Hi.

This table has almost 130,000 records. Can I empty it? I have a feeling it’s the reason why the blog is slow to respond when I add/edit posts.

    Thank you.

  • Assuming your using http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/ … You should be able to delete them via the plugin.

    It’s not a bog-standard WP table.

    Hi Ipstenu.

No, I’m not using any plugins, does this mean I should not have the table? Can I delete all records every three months or so then?

PS: When I take backups of the database using the backup plugin, it asks me if I want to include this table.

    Thank you.

If you’re not using any plugins, I have no idea why the heck you have the table at all!

Backup your database and delete the table. If it blows up, put the table back.

    (Really? No plugins? At all?)

    ahhhhhhh, wait.

I did have that plugin a long time ago but then deactivated + deleted it.

So I can delete it, nice.

EDIT: Thank you for the quick help mate of course, appreciated.

EDIT2: In fact, the last record goes back to months ago, probably when I disactivated the plugin. No wonder I was surprised google was returning so few results for this table!
