I need to add a big bunch of sliders to my site, and I’d like to be able to specify my own ID for each one, so instead of shortcode like this:

    [metaslider id=294]

I can use shortcode like this:

    [metaslider id="gumdrops"]

Is there any way to do that? I know my way around functions.php if that’s necessary. Thanks!

  • Hi bjtalbot,

It is not possible sorry, the ID must represent a post ID rather than a slug (because there is no way in the MS interface to give a slider a slug).

    Regards,
    Tom
