• Hi there, I finished creating a new site on my office iMac, with MAMP and locally hosted. I want to transfer that site design to my laptop (which has MAMP installed) and take to my client’s office to present.

I’m having trouble doing this. It appeared one info source told me it was as simple as dropping my new sit’s folder from htdocs on the iMac and straight into the htdocs on the PowerMac.

    Didn’t work though

    thanks

    PS I’m a bit of a novice

Multisite is usiung one install to run multiple sites. Not having two separate sites.

You need to move the database over as well. I’m moving this to the localhost subforum 🙂

    Thanks for the help Mika

as I say I’m pretty new to all this although I have created quite a cool site. Is there any more information you could share or a link that can help me understand a step by step process for moving my finished site from local host on my iMac to local host on my Powerbook?

When you say ‘move the database, is that the client folder I have in htdocs?

    apologies for appearing completely clueless

    thanks

    Rod
