Can i remove wp_unregister_GLOBALS() in wp_settings.php ?

  • Hello,

    I have to turn on register_globals caus my site need id.

    So for having wordpress enbedding in my site, i have to remove the line wp_unregister_GLOBALS(); in wp-settings.php (i’ve spend 3h finding this #รน%&$ line)
    Am i opening a big security hole by doing this ? Can you explain why ?

  • I just did exactly the same thing with a site in which I’m integrating a WordPress blog. I, too, would be very interested to know if removing “wp_unregister_GLOBALS();” will pose a security risk.
