Can I remove the "Name" from the subscription widget

Hi,
This is a brilliant subscription plugin, great work.
Can I ask two questions:
1) How can I remove the name box from the widget? I am looking to simplify it down to just an email address only.
2) How can i disable the alert pop up for successful subscription?
