Can I move a Page into a category?

    Hi,

    I have a bunch of pages that I no longer want to appear where they are but I dont want to delete them or switch them off.

    How can I archive them or move them into a category – just to clarify I’m talking about pages not posts.

    As I understand it, categories are only applicable to posts, not to pages.

    Can you provide a link to your site, so we can get a feel for where the unwanted pages are appearing?

    One method, though may not be the one of your choice, would be not to use the tag that automatically inserts a list of your pages, but to replace that with a manual list of just the ones you want displayed.

    Again, if you have a lot of pages, and you don’t like editing when you add new ones, probably not the method of choice.

    thanks for the help, I sorted it by making a new Page and then putting my old pages as sub pages of it – that works
