Can I link to pages in different subdomains from one navigation?

Is it possible to create a navigation that includes links to pages in separate subdomains (separate WP databases)?

Here’s why I ask: I want to recreate my Acupuncture School Web site using WP, so that I can separate content into buckets by audience using subdomains. For instance, our clinic patients are a radically different audience than our current students. Therefore, I want to have different subdomains, e.g. students.aimc.edu & patients.aimc.edu.

However, some pages will be of interest to both audiences and deserve a place in the navigation for each subdomain. E.G. a series of qigong classes offered to the public will exist at patients.aimc.edu/qigong, but I will also want to link to that from the main navigation of students.aimc.edu.

Is that possible, simple, and/or easy to do?
