    Genek1,

Currently, there is no way to add something like this to a signup form. In the next release, there will be templates for the forms and you will be able to add stuff like that…but this is a few weeks off.

But there’s nothing preventing you from adding such a button to one of the pages that the plugin is also using. This is completely separate from the plugin, though.

Thank you for your prompt response. Unfortunately, i cannot wait a few weeks.

Applying your suggestion of a payment button, is there a way to connect this payment record to a participants record in the database automatically that you can recommend?

    Genek1,

Well, this depends on what you mean by “connect” …do you want to store the payment method with the record? Do you want the confirmation stored? Do you want the PayPal transaction to tell you which record it’s connected to? Think it through, figure out exactly what information you need, and where you need it, and this will give you some idea what you need to do to get that working.

Whatever it is, you’ll need to be handy with php and probably Javascript to get it done.

    Thanks again.

What i want is a way new members can register, sign an agreement and pay at the same time and for the payment record to reflect in their record. Is this what your upgrade would do?

I am not at all handy with php or javascript so it looks I will need to look at an alternate plugin. If you have a recommendation for my situation I would be greatful. I don’t mind paying for the right plugin. Thanks again.

    Genek1,

Well, the plugin is not going to do this for you after the next update…it will just make it possible.

I would look for a plugin that sets you up with paid memberships. Some of them are commercial, so it may be worth your while to pay for it. Always “try before you buy” with plugins…stuff often doesn’t work as advertised, i’ve found!

I appreciate your advice. I did download your plugin and i really like what it does. One thing that does not appear obvious to me though is how I can put the form on my website so that folks can register.

…or does the information needed to be inputted on the backend or by email?

    Genek1,

Simply place the [pdb_signup] shortcode where you want the form to appear.

    Hi Genek1,
I have a developer who is going to have the paypal registrations on the site i am working on dump into the participants Database tables.
if you are still wanting to use the participants database plugin also, let me know.

    Hi elurie,

I need something similar. I’m just starting a website, and the participants database looks like it will work well for me. I also, however, need to share info between our payment pages (Woocommerce?) and the database. Any suggestions would be helpful. Specifically, all I need to know what is purchased, so even handing off a simple string – one that I could store with their recorrd in the db – would work for me.

    Thanks,
    -dave

    Hi kubalak,
I have a join page that goes to paypal and a php developer who is going to for a small charge have that data go into the participants database tables. The php join page collects data, sends user to paypal to pay. Once payment is complete, it processes the info with several safeguards and backups, into the PDB tables. Here is the link so you can see it lonersonwheels.com. If you want to talk more, contact me thru my website evelurie.com. my guess is that you want to look at the wp papal module to see what tables it uses. then hire someone like i have to utilize this great participants database plugin. I am not using a WP plugin for the paypal part as it was developed before I moved to WP, but it is a php page and fits in with WP fine.
    all the best,
    eve lurie
