• Hi

I have a wordpress website which has customised theme, created by a company on my behalf.
I have added a blog page onto the site but I really do not like the appearance. As you will see, it is basically just text and includes a header of the date of when it was added etc, which looks messy

How do I make this look like a professional blog? I have built a blog before in another programme but don’t find wordpress very user friendly. I want it to be part of my website which is the only reason I am using wordpress for it.

Is there a way I can build a blog on a wordpress template (so it looks like a website rather than just a page of text) and then incorporate it as part of my webpate?

I am getting very frustrated with what should be simple task but nothing seems that straightforward in wordpress!

    Thanks in advance

  • Sounds like the company you hired to create your custom theme did not include any special styling for Posts – perhaps because this wasn’t part of the project brief that you supplied to them. As this is a custom theme, we can only offer limited help here, so you really only have three options:

    1. Learn now to develop the templates that you want for your Post pages. This will involve some knowledge of PHP, HML & CSS.

    2. Go back to the theme’s developers and employ them to develop the theme further.

    3. Hire someone else to do the work for you.
