can i install a scroll bar in recent posts? if so can you recommend one?

I am new to this sort of thing and I’ve no programming skils.

I’ve been building a blog site in wordpress as my old one looks like a regurgitated dogs dinner.

I have 5 posts displayed as recent posts but there is room for a lot more. At the moment I have submitted 9 blogs.

Is there a way of increasing the recent post number or of adding a scroll bar so that the user can manually scroll down the list. If so how can you do this?

I’ve tried searching the plugins with “scroll” and “scroll bar” but all I get is a face full of what used to be called fractals!
