    Hello all. My first thread.

I have set up four separate blogs, in WordPress naturally, at four discrete URLS. And I have another that is acting as a central blog. Is there someway to import the posts, complete with titles, tags, categories, etc., from the first four blog sites into the central one?

Yes, I understand that I can do it manually, one-by-one. But I’m hoping there is an easier way?

    Thanks,

    Steve

  • Sure, there is.
Admin Manage > Export > All in 4 separate blogs and import XML one by one into the central blog.
    — When you import each XML, don’t forget to click/check Import file attachments as well, the option will appear in bottom half of the next panel after you choose the XML file to upload
    — If you have different users for one or all 4 blogs, create user/s in your central blog before importing 4 XMLs to facilitate transfer

    Thanks for that mercime…

a dumb question… where am I exporting to?

When you export, it saves the XML file on your computer. Just make sure you keep track of where you save it at so you can find it when you import things back into your main blog.

    cool…. working on it now…..

    very cool….thanks much
