Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Can I Hide an Event from displaying on main Blog

  • I have an event created using The Events Calendar Plugin. The event is for the “Teal Trek Walk” in March 2018.

However, this creates an undesirable side effect in that it creates a blog entry at the top of my blog, in the future dated March 2018. Since I have a blog post already with a more general announcement, this essentially creates a confusing duplicate.

Additionally, I’ve already got a regular Blog post announcing the event that is currently dated.

My preference would be to only have the event show up in the “Events” page, which is here: /events/category/ocaz-events/ I don’t need it in both places.

Is there a way to restrict Calendar Events from showing up in the Blog? I mainly want to keep a separation of the Calendar and Blog.

This is just an example, there are other cases where I may want to create an upcoming calendar event for later next year, but don’t want it to be “sticky” at the top of my blog until the date passes.

    Thanks in advance.
