Can I have sub-menus?

I have a category “Price Range” with two subcategories “$100-&150” and “$150-$200”. I thought that all I would have to do to get dropdown submenus would be add “Price Range” to the menu. It didn’t work so apparently this is not the case.

I have worked with the menus in the Dashboard but if it can be done there I don’t see how. I tried to find this in the codex and forum, but I could find nothing except some rather vague suggestions about a totally different situation which involving PHP code. I found nothing I could make use of.

I had a similar post open, but after five days with no response I closed it and opened this one. I would really appreciate it if someone could at least tell me if this is possible or not.
