    Hi, my translation doesn’t show, I’ve checked FAQs (https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/not-showing) and #6 could be the cause as I’m pretty sure I’ve picked this for saving my file (why to recommend an option that could cause issues is beyond be, anyway).

    So, how can I check what my setting is and how can I change it?

    Ok, I have solved it following this guide:
    https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/custom-folder

    I have copied the .mo file into wp-content/languages/themes/

    Now what? If I update my translation, do I need to manually copy the .mo file again?

    Use of the custom folder is recommended because the standard WordPress locations will likely result in your files being deleted. This feature doesn’t cause issues. If your theme/plugin is written correctly and sensibly using WordPress conventions it will work.

    I have copied the .mo file into wp-content/languages/themes/

    Move (not copy) both the PO and the MO file to your new location. I recommend you use Loco Translate’s relocation function for this. See Relocate tab when viewing the file in question.

    If you copied only the MO file and then edited the PO file in its original location then yes you would. So don’t do it this way. Do as I recommend above.

    Thank you very much.

    I have relocated the file.
    Everything seems to work just fine.

    Now I’ll check if everything will work with Polylang.
