can i change a user to admin status using phpadmin?

    somehow all my users got deleted. i need to change a user i just created to admin status, but i have no access to admin tools since this user is just a subscriber.

    can i change the user to an admin using phpadmin?

    Yes, update the value of the “wp_”capabilities (minus the double quotes) option for that user account in the usermeta table (option name will differ if you used something other than the default prefix on installation).

    Where “wp_” would be the prefix you choose during installing WordPress, eg. wp_capabilities would be default.

    Set the value to read.
